Available as double or family accommodation, The Barn is a detached stone building which has been modernized to a high standard and offers comfortable, undisturbed accommodation next to the house of its proprietors. The accommodation has also been awarded a silver 'Green Tourism' award by Visit Scotland. Read more on this »There is ample parking alongside The Barn, while inside the property itself there is the added bonus that although the main bedroom can sleep 2 - 4 of a family, there is a separate downstairs area which can be used to accommodate a number of them. This may be preferable if you are in a group which includes adolescents or people who are unrelated. A reduced tariff is negotiable for those other than the main couple.
There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own meals (apart from breakfast of course, which is provided), and includes a washing machine. Any clothes washed can be tumble dried for you.
The bathroom has a formidable power shower which can be turned down if required. Upstairs in the bedroom/lounge area there are spectacular views through several windows which gives the delightful impression of having gone back in time almost to a traditional Highland village at the turn of the last century.
In-house entertainment includes a wide range of books, games and a television and DVD with a selection of films with a Scottish theme to them.
